Photographers

Tom Hamp
- Tom has a small selection of excellent grain elevator pictures from Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Allan King
- A local 12X20 large format, platinum printing photographer, a superb printer
Michael Kenna
- I love Michael's photographs. Usually medium format, generally square, often simple and uncluttered. Highly recommended.

Danny Burk

Roy Harrington
- Not only a good photographer, also the developer of quadtone RIP for black and white printing either with MIS ultratone inks or epsons original ultrachrome inks.
David Plowden
David is a fantastic photographer. His medium format images of America are wonderful. Highly recommend getting his books.

Digital Camera Reviews

Steves Digicams
- Good conclusions, great sample pictures - frequently of the same subject so you can compare cameras.

DP Review
-Very detailed reviews with measurements of noise and resolution, distortion and flare, also shutter lag and auto focus speed. Pictures vary between cameras although he often compares images with the cameras nearest competitors - a very useful site along with steves-digicams - the two I would first recommend.
DC Resource
- Not quite as detailed, some same-shot comparisons. Nice comments on close capability and movie mode for those cameras that have it.
Imaging Resource
- Another good site for camera reviews. Quite rigorous testing. Beware that some of the images are pictures of pictures and as such don't have to deal with dynamic range issues. He does however test real situations.
Photo-i
Not a complete review site but has some very detailed reviews of printers and scanners which I highly recommend.
